Obituary for Paul E. Surprenant
Paul E. Surprenant 71, of Ludlow passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday June 23, 2024. Born in Ludlow to the late Ernest and Cecilia (Polys) Surprenant he was a lifelong Ludlow resident and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Paul worked for Pratt and Whitney and the UMass Maintenance Department and enjoyed his Alfa Romeo and golfing with his friends. He leaves his wife Kathleen Young of Ludlow; daughter Jody Surprenant and Step-daughter Heather; his sisters Joanne Teixeira and husband Louis of Florida and Karen Belanger of Granby; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and also leaves Brenda McClain who was like a sister to him. Services for Paul will be held on Tuesday July 9th, 2024. Visiting hours are from 5:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers it was the wish of Paul’s family that donations be made in his memory to: The Town of Ludlow, Veterans Assistance Fund. 487 Holyoke Street, Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
