Obituary for Paul J. Dorval
We celebrate the life of Paul Dorval who was suddenly taken from us on February 10, 2010.  Born in Holyoke Hospital on June 5, 1948, son of the late George F. and Sheila (Triggs) Dorval, he was a prominent member of the community in Ludlow and loved and touched the lives of many.  Paul served in the U.S. Army, was a life member of the Ludlow Fish & Game Club, 20 year member of the Ludlow Lodge of Elks, and was an avid sports memorabilia collector and gardener, spending hours in his gardens and doing yard work.  If he was not busy with all of his hobbies, he would enjoy having a bonfire out back.  Paul fulfilled his life long dream of owning a Corvette in the winter of 2008 when he purchased a 1968 blue ragtop.  He was self employed thru Dorval Construction and later worked for Bruschi Brothers before retiring.  Paul is survived by his loving wife who meant the world to him, Mary (Brothers) Dorval; his son Andrew Dorval and wife Debra; granddaughter and greatest gift Emily; his siblings Mark and wife Geri, Matthew and wife Laurie, and Peter Dorval, all of Ludlow, Joseph, of Washington, MA, John, of CT, James, of Chicopee, and Julie Dorval, of Brookfield; and also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends including: Karen Dorval, Theresa Mascaro, Alan and Susan Boutilier, Gail Dorval, and Denise Dorval.  Funeral services are on Saturday Feb. 13, 2010 at 11am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12pm in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial with military honors in Island Pond Cemetery.  Visitation is on Friday evening from 5-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.
