Obituary for Paul S. Inglis
Paul Stewart Inglis passed away suddenly, at his home in South Hadley, Ma. He was born April 7, 1951 in Oceanside, N.Y., to Paul and Natalie (Brower) Inglis. He was also a resident of Holyoke Ma. and graduated from Holyoke High School. He studied briefly at Holyoke Community College. Paul served in the Ma. National Guard and worked at the Springfield Newspaper. After the newspaper, he managed the Just Fun Arcades, at the Holyoke Mall, where he met his future wife Debbie Martin. They celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in May. Paul and Debbie founded Bootlegger’s Nostalgia, as a way to combine their love of antiques and creating a way to work together as a team. Following their passion, together they established a successful business that meant Paul and Debbie would travel throughout much of the country meeting many different people and developing friendships in the antique community. Wherever he went Paul left an impression. He brought their business from the analog age, picking at flea markets to the digital age, selling on eBay. Paul was predeceased by his mother in 1992 and his father in 2013, and Paul and Debbie’s beloved dogs; Pepper, Gizmo and Tigger. Paul is survived by his wife, Deborah, sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Rich Kelly, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eddie and Eileen Martin, niece and nephew-in-law, Cynthia and Kurt Knowlton, and great niece and nephews Elizabeth and William Knowlton, and E.J., Evan, and Ethan Martin. He is also survived by beloved family members and friends. Funeral services for Paul will be on Friday, August 5th at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that a random act of kindness be performed in Paul’s memory.
