Obituary for Raymond Mariani
Raymond D. Mariani, 87, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10th, 2011, with his loving family by his side. Born in Ludlow to the late Joseph and Angelina (Silveri) Mariani, he was a lifelong Ludlow resident and a former communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during World War II. Attached to headquarters, Raymond spent three and a half years in Europe. Raymond was a mason who worked for his family business, Joseph Mariani and Sons. He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years Cassmeda (Campora) Mariani of Ludlow; loving daughters Gala-Ann McInerny and her husband Richard and Mary-Beth Will and her husband Gary all of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Caitlin-Ann Clemons and her husband Nicholas, Jillian McInerny, Haley Will and Alex Will; his great-granddaughter Olivia Grace Clemons; caring brother Louis Mariani and his wife Sheila and his sister Adele Megizsky. Sadly, he was predeceased by his brothers Albert and Leo. Funeral services and burial, with military honors, will be held privately by his family.
