Obituary for Raymond R. Beaudreau, Jr.
Raymond R. Beaudreau, Jr., 61, of Ludlow, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 6, 2017. Born in Springfield, son of the late Raymond R. Beaudreau, he was raised in Chicopee and was a 1973 graduate of Chicopee High School. Upon graduation Raymond enlisted in the United States Navy proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He then moved to Ludlow and began his 30 year career with the USPS at the bulk mail center in Indian Orchard from where he retired. In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed many outdoor activities including biking, boating, water and downhill skiing, and fishing, especially at Red Bridge. Raymond was predeceased by many loving aunts and uncles for whom he was a caretaker, and leaves behind his cousins Alice Forgione and husband Joseph, Robert, Richard, and Norman Letendre, Mary Anderson, Jim and John DeVecchi, and Michael Duquette; as well as his beloved and cherished cat Chloe and many dear friends. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, July 13th in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery for a 10:00am committal service. (Services are currently being held in committal area near the last columbarium section of the cemetery). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's memory to Dakin Humane Society 171 Union St. Springfield, Ma. 01105 (dakinhumane.org).
