Obituary for Rene M. Lefebvre
Rene M. Lefebvre, 82, of Wilbraham, died peacefully at home on June 18, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada, son of the late Alderick and Patricia (Babeu) Lefebvre, he served with honor and distinction in the Canadian Army during the Korean Conflict. He came to Springfield in 1958, where he was a lifetime member in good standing of the Marconi Club in East Springfield, before recently moving to Wilbraham. Rene was the beloved husband of 60 years to Monique (Langlois) Lefebvre; a loving father to Linda Walker, of Wilbraham, Christian Lefebvre, of Valdosa GA, and Louise Hickenbottom, of Monson; a dear brother to Doris, Lillian, Angel, Michael, Mary and the late Andre; a cherished grandfather to Charles and Jeremy Cleveland, Joshua Hickenbottom, and Caitlyn and Michael Lefebvre; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends both here and in Canada. It was Rene’s wishes that his funeral services be held privately by his family with Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center entrusted with his care.
