Obituary for Richard A. Alves
Richard A. Alves, 59, of Ludlow passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday April 1, 2011. Born in Ludlow to the late Armando (Smiles) and Teresa (Fernandes) Alves, he was a lifelong resident and a 1970 graduate of Ludlow High School. Richard worked for 10 years at Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT. he enjoyed motorcycle riding, shortwave radio, fishing, walking his dog, skydiving, hot air balloons, a good beer with friends and was a cub scout leader when his son was younger. He leaves his loving wife of 30 years Lynn A. (Dionne) Alves of Ludlow; cherished son Bryan J. Alves of Waltham; his caring sister Laurie Alves of Springfield. Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon April 3rd, 2011 from 3:00pm-5:30pm at the Ludlow Funeral home. Chapel services and burial will be held privately by his family.
