Obituary for Richard A. “Richie” Berselli
Richard A. Berselli, 71, a longtime resident of Belchertown, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Rich, son of the late Frank and Theresa Berselli, graduated from Ludlow High School and STCC. In 1969 he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1974. He retired from the US Bulk Mail Center in 2016.
Richie was a man of few words, yet he showered his family and friends with unconditional love and support. He could fix anything, build anything, do anything! He was our rock. Richie, a loving, caring, and devoted father to his 3 daughters Cara, Jessica, and Tracy; son-in-laws Jason and Sam; the beloved Papa of Evan, Owen, Stephanie, Jaron, Stephani, Sophie, Cece, Cairo, and Lexi; a dear brother to Joanne, Nancy, Carol, Billy and the late Bobby. He also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends, especially Dolores aka “Big D” & Nancy.
Cara, Jessica, and Tracy would like to acknowledge some special people…Thank You to Cassy, Carmen, Debbie, and Bobbie Jo for your exceptional care and devotion to our dad. Also, our deepest gratitude to our mom for all of your love and support!
Visiting hours for Richard will be held on Tuesday, January 18th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family and in lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Richard A. Berselli Naval ROTC Scholarship Fund in care of the family.
