Obituary for Richard C. Courtney
Richard C. Courtney, 86, of Texas, formerly of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2013 in Del Rio, TX. surrounded by his loving family. He was a United States Navy veteran proudly serving his country during WWII and a 30 year employee of Monsanto. Richard was the beloved husband of Marie T. (Donovan) Courtney; a loving father to Daniel, Kevin, Shawn, Richard, Christopher, and Michael Courtney, Kathleen (Courtney) Gentile, Debra (Courtney) Kielman, Mary Courtney, and the late David Courtney; a dear brother to Marguerite Wendt, Theresa Martin, and the late William "Bill" Courtney; a cherished and adored grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a graveside service to be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00am in Island Pond Cemetery.
