Obituary for Richard E. "Berns" Bernard
Richard E. “Berns” Bernard, of Ludlow, MA and Oil City, PA, passed away at his home in Oil City on March 4, 2019. Son of the late David Bernard, Sr. and Phyllis Bernard, Richard was raised in Ludlow and graduated from Ludlow High School in 1970. Richard was a machine operator and worked in Agawam, Ma before transferring to Oil City with the company in September 1997. Richard leaves his brothers Dave (Pat), Jimmy (Peggy), and his sisters Betty Ann Loud (Charlie) and BJ Ferrero (Teddy Miller), all of Ludlow; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends in PA. Richard enjoyed a good or bad round of golf, playing cards, the oldies, the pool league and people at the VFW #464 in Oil City, and standing with the Veterans along the Petroleum Bridge in Oil City, PA. Memorial services will be held for Berns on Saturday April 13, 2019 in Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East Street, Ludlow, Ma. with visiting hours from 2:00-4:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will begin the visiting hours at 2:00pm
