Obituary for Richard E. Gendreau Sr.
Richard E. Gendreau Sr. ,87, of Ludlow was called home to be in the care of God on Saturday February 25th, 2023. Born in Springfield he was the son of the late Archille and Cora (Faucher) Gendreau. Richard was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church in Ludlow. He was the devoted and beloved husband of 67 years to Lucille (Pelletier) Gendreau of Ludlow; cherished father to Richard Gendreau Jr. and his wife Deborah, Paul Gendreau and his wife Kathleen, Donna Belisle and her husband Paul and Michael Gendreau and his wife Denice; adored grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral services for Richard will be held on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth's Church followed by burial at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 4:00-6:00pm at the Funeral Home and It was the wish of Richards family that in lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to: Shriners Childrens Hospital @ www.shrinerschildrens.org or Encompass Hospice.
