Obituary for Richard Edwin Denn
Richard E. Denn, 89 formerly of Chicopee, died peacefully on May 30th, at the Holyoke Soldier's Home. Born in Florence, to John and Marion (Ennis) Denn, he lived in Chicopee for over 40 years. He proudly served his country, during WW II in the Navy, and was involved with aircraft maintenance most of his life, retiring in 1985 as civilian head of transient maintenance at Westover AFB. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed traveling. He was predeceased by his wives, Mary Ellen (Dowd) Denn and Marian(Dexter) Staples Denn, and a brother Jack. He leaves 3 children; James of Holyoke , Nancy Wojcikowski and her husband Donald Sowinski of Chicopee, and Susan Macellaro and her husband Robert of Plainville Ct, a brother Thomas Denn of Michigan, 6 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
