Obituary for Richard G. Belisle
Richard G. Belisle, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2019 with loving family members by his side. Son of the late George and Rita (Fregeau) Belisle of Manchester, NH, he was a long time resident of Ludlow and a United States Army veteran. Richard had a long career as a loan officer with Shawmut Bank, and in his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying RV camping with his family and fishing for largemouth bass. In his later years he was also very active in the Ludlow Senior Center and was instrumental in establishing its men’s billiards league as well as competing in the Baystate Senior Olympic Games for many years in the billiards events. Richard is predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years Theresa (Schunemann) Belisle, and his son Raymond Belisle also of Ludlow. Richard leaves behind his son Paul Belisle, of Chicopee, and daughter Danette Chorney and husband Chris, of Meriden, CT; brother Arthur Belisle and wife Lorraine, of North Carolina, sister Helen Ridings and late husband Robert, of Florida, brother Albert Belisle and wife Pauline, of Rhode Island, and brother Kenneth Belisle and wife Linda, of Virginia; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear close friends, especially at the Ludlow Senior Center. Visiting hours for Richard will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd in Ludlow Funeral Home from 4:00 - 6:00 pm concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm.
