Obituary for Richard J. 'Dickie' Breault
Richard J "Dickie" Breault, 70, of Ludlow, died on December 28, 2013 with his family by his side. Â Born in Ludlow, he was the son of the late August "Gus" Alves, Diolinda (Fidalgo) Breault, and Norman Breault. Â A Ludlow resident for most of his life, he was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving his country until his discharge in 1963. Â Richard served as a Firefighter in Ludlow and Springfield and after his retirement, he was a bus driver for many years in both the Ludlow and Chicopee school systems. Â He loved playing golf and was a member of the Ludlow Country Club for many years. Â He also loved boating, was a former Mason, and was an avid Red Sox fan. Â Richard leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Joyce (Naglieri) Breault; his brother Norman and "BFF" Dori Partsch, of Chesterton, Indiana; his children Nick, of Monson, Michael and wife Jacqueline, of Ludlow, Kerry and companion Sean Fitzgerald, of Westfield, and John Houle and companion Maria Spina, of Longmeadow; Â and grandchildren Gina, Anthony, Joselyn, Ryley, and Paul; along with many extended family members and friends. Â Visiting hours for Dickie will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 2:00-4:45 at Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00pm. Â Burial will be held privately by the family.
