Obituary for Richard J. 'Dickie' Breault
Richard J "Dickie" Breault, 70, of Ludlow, died on December 28, 2013 with his family by his side.  Born in Ludlow, he was the son of the late August "Gus" Alves, Diolinda (Fidalgo) Breault, and Norman Breault.  A Ludlow resident for most of his life, he was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving his country until his discharge in 1963.   Richard served as a Firefighter in Ludlow and Springfield and after his retirement, he was a bus driver for many years in both the Ludlow and Chicopee school systems.  He loved playing golf and was a member of the Ludlow Country Club for many years.  He also loved boating, was a former Mason, and was an avid Red Sox fan.  Richard leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Joyce (Naglieri) Breault; his brother Norman and "BFF" Dori Partsch, of Chesterton, Indiana; his children Nick, of Monson, Michael and wife Jacqueline, of Ludlow, Kerry and companion Sean Fitzgerald, of Westfield, and John Houle and companion Maria Spina, of Longmeadow;  and grandchildren Gina, Anthony, Joselyn, Ryley, and Paul; along with many extended family members and friends.  Visiting hours for Dickie will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 2:00-4:45 at Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00pm.  Burial will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dickie's memory to the John Schinelli Memorial Fund 999 River Rd. Agawam, Ma. 01001 which benefits local kidney patients or the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
