Obituary for Rita M. (Flanagan) Boutet
Rita M. (Flanagan) (LeCompte) Boutet, 88, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Foley) Flanagan and a graduate of the High School of Commerce. Rita was a longtime resident of Western Mass and also lived for over 30 years in Hobe Sound Florida. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and had an affection for animals. Rita was the beloved wife of the late William Boutet; a dear sister to the late Muriel Bell; a cherished aunt to Elizabeth Isham and husband Stuart, of Ludlow; great-aunt to David, Robert, and Ronald Jarest and their families; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Rita will be held on Friday, January 25th from 8:30am-9:45am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita’s memory to any animal rescue charity of one’s choice.
