Obituary for Robert A. "Bob" Sears
Robert A. “Bob Sears, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Born in Groton, CT, he was the son of the late Alfred and Louise (Jones) Sears. Bob worked for many years for Bess Eaton and most recently as a truck and bus driver for various area transportation companies including Blueline Bus Co., Rite Aid, STP, & Peter Pan. Upon retirement, he and his wife Patricia became snowbirds spending their winters in Clearwater FL for the last 14 years. Bob also loved to camp, ride his motorcycle, and traveling, especially by train all over the US and Canada. Bob leaves his beloved wife of 61 years Patricia (Haluchak) Sears, sister-in-law Catherine Scharr, brothers-in-law Wesley and John Haluchak, as well as his Godchild Marie, his nieces & nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Bob was predeceased by his 2 brothers Raymond and Joel. Funeral services will be held privately by his family. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
