Obituary for Robert Ambroziak
Robert Ambroziak, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Feb. 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lebenstedt, Braunschweig, Germany, he was the beloved cherished son of Liza (Miruszenko) Ambroziak, of Chicopee. He was a 1965 graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School and attended Western New England College. Soon after graduation, Robert joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant. Robert worked for many years at Emhart Glass as an Electrical Engineer, and also at TSA and AT Systems before his retirement. He was a member of NRA and Chicopee Sportsman Club. He was a die-hard Patriots fan from their inception in 1960; and loved NASCAR racing, boxing, riding his Harley, and fishing. Robert was the beloved husband of 33 years Rosemarie (Banas) Ambroziak; a loving father to Jennifer Sunderland and her husband Ronald, of Ludlow; adoring grandfather to Dana, Ronald, Luke, and Madison; and also leaves his sister Alice Barnes, of NY; mother-in-law Faith Banas, of Ludlow; sister-in-law Barbara Tremblay and her husband Brian, of FL; several nieces and a nephew; as well as many other loving family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at 10am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in Christ the King Church followed by burial with Military Honors in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm.
