Obituary for Robert "Bob" Fioravanti

Robert V. “Bob” Fioravanti, 80, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, surrounded by his loving family at Baystate Medical Center.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Abramo and Sylvia (Pieri) Fioravanti, Bob moved with his family to Ludlow at the age of two, where he lived the remainder of his life. After graduating from Ludlow High School, he served in the U.S. Army with a tour in post-war Korea. After his service, Bob was employed for 35 years at the former Monsanto Corporation where he retired at the youthful age of 55. He was a lover of aviation, avid financial follower and most of all a devoted family man.

Bob leaves his devoted wife of 54 years, Franca (Morgavio); daughter Deborah Donovan and her husband Brian of Belchertown; son, Brian and wife Lynn of Monson; brother Donald and his wife Donna of New Hampshire; and his beloved grandchildren; Dominic, Jackson, Angelo, and Jenna. He was predeceased by his brother Philip Fioravanti and sisters Matilda Dube and Irene Kowalski.

A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, July 16 from 10:00-11:00 .a.m. at the Ludlow Funeral Home, with a chapel service beginning at 11:00am followed by burial at Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Roberts memory to the charity of ones choice.
