Obituary for Robert J. 'Bob' Dupre
Robert “Bob” J. Dupre, 84, of Granby, died at home on October 8, 2013 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Springfield, Ma., son of the late Thomas and Loretta (Berard) Dupre, he was a longtime Granby resident where he was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. He worked for many years at American Writing Paper Co. and enjoyed collecting coins and stamps; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Bob was the beloved husband of 52 years to Helena (Brooks) Dupre; a loving father to Corinne Currie, of Granby, Kathleen Lindenmuth, of PA, and the late Mary Dupre; a cherished grandfather to Timothy Currie, of Ludlow, Jason Duga, of PA, Matthew Duga, of Granby, Kaitlin Haslam, of Chicopee, and Brittany and Jessie Lindenmuth, both of PA; a dear brother to Thomas and James Dupre; a cherished great-grandfather of 10; and also leaves several loving extended family members and dear friends. Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care. Bob’s family will be hosting a memorial service to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 11:00am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Granby.
