Obituary for Robert J. Bycenski
Robert J. Bycenski, 85, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Windsor Locks, Ct, to the late Joseph and Catherine (Kozryna) Bycenski, he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a longtime Ludlow resident and communicant of Christ the King Church. Robert began his career at the former Hamilton Standard before starting his own business Bycen Tool Co. in Chicopee from where he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, gambling at the casino, and especially spending time with his family. He will be remembered as kind, generous, and helpful to all who knew him. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Sidoti) Bycenski, who predeceased him in 2015; a loving father to Catherine Roxo and fiance Kevin Cyr, of Ludlow and the late Gerald Bycenski, who predeceased him in 1992; a cherished grandfather to Nina, Katrina, and Vincent Roxo and Isabella Cyr; a caring brother to Janet Elinksas, of Suffield, and the late Stanley, Joseph, William, and John Bycenski, Mildred Cammilleri, Carolyn Durnakowski, Sophie Pikel, and Stella Seeley; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Monday, April 12th. Family and friends are asked to gather directly in Island Pond Cemetery at 11:00am for graveside services.
