Obituary for Robert J. Klatte
Robert J. Klatte, 70, of Chicopee, was called safely home on Thursday, May 18, 2006.  Born in New York, he has lived in Chicopee for the past 28 years.  Robert served his country honorably as a United States Army Veteran and was a former employee of the National Security Agency.  He earned his masters degree in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut and worked for over 25 years at United Technology as a consulting design engineer.  Robert enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, a teammate on the Relics softball and volleyball teams and an accomplished numismatist.  He leaves his beloved wife of 40 years Roxanne (Jurkowski) Klatte of Chicopee; loving children Jeffrey Klatte and his wife Alisa of Williamsburg and Cynthia Mourad and her husband David of West Hartford, CT.; dear brother–in-law Daniel Jurkowski and his wife Maryann of Ludlow and sister-in-law Charlotte Guillen and her husband Harold of Chicopee and his devoted cat Paris.  Funeral services will be held Monday, May 22, 2006 at Ludlow Funeral Home with a chapel service beginning at noon with Father Homer Gosselin officiating. Rites of committal to follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Monday morning only from 10:15am-12:00pm and in lieu of flowers donation’s may be made in Robert’s memory to the National Parks Conservation Association 1300 Nineteenth St. N.W. Washington, DC 20036.
