Obituary for Robert L. Stebbins
Robert L. Stebbins, 62, of Ludlow, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2016. Born in Springield, Ma. he was the beloved son of Carmella Ann (Arena) Stebbins and the late Joseph H. Stebbins. Bob graduated with high honors from Commerce H.S and attended WNEC. He was a longtime Ludlow resident and worked as a roofer for Local 248 before opening his own business, Co-Op Roofing, which he has owned for he past 35 years. He was also the longtime owner of Movie Town Home Video Center in Indian Orchard for over 30 years. Bob was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish and had many hobbies including attending motor sports events with his grandson, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. Bob was a beloved and devoted husband for 24 years to Jennie (Rendowski) Stebbins; a loving father to Steven Roach an wife Donna, of Ludlow, and Cynthia Pereira and husband Ramiro, of Palmer; dear brother to Theresa Gagne and husband William, of Chicopee; an adoring grandfather to Brandon and Melissa Pereira, and Rachel Roach; uncle to Joseph and Michael Lavigne and their families; and also leaves many loving extended family members and friends. Funeral services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 10:15 from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral on Wednesday from 8:30-10:00am and for those who wish, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the American Heart Association (heart.org).
