Obituary for Robert N. Bouyea
Robert N. Bouyea, 79, of Ludlow, entered into eternal rest on Thursday July 25, 2013. Born in Springfield, he graduated from Trade High School in 1952. Later that year he joined the US Air Force, and was stationed in England from 1953-57, where he met his wife of 57 years Sylvia (Wren) Bouyea. Robert worked for 24 years , with the Springfield Water Dept., retiring in 1981. An avid Red Sox and Bruins fan, he enjoyed life, especially spending it with his wonderful family and grandchildren, his winters in Largo Florida, family beach time in Hampton Beach and Ogunquit, Maine. He was a kind and generous man, who always wore a smile. Besides his wife, he leaves 4 daughters; Gail Dorval, and her friend Jerry Mitchell, Carole Daigneault and her friend Daniel Bator, Allison Layman, and her husband Scott, all of Ludlow, and Robin Hurley, and her husband Michael, 10 grandchildren; Amy Daigneault of Chicopee, Jacob Dorval and wife Justine of Ellington Ct., Jocelyn (Dorval) Miller and husband James of Framingham, Michael Dorval and wife Nadia of Bloomfield, Ct., Ryan Hurley and wife Stacey of Springfield, Rachael Hurley of Chicopee, Neil Daigneault of Easthampton, Samantha and Brett Layman of Ludlow , and Sean Hurley and Amanda Santiago of Ct.. He also leaves 13 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters; Catherine I. Masley and Marion A. Reid, both of Ludlow and Margaret M. Robillard of Pittsfield, a brother-in-law Anthony Wren of London England, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ruth I. Aucoin. Chapel services for Robert, will be held Sunday evening at 6:45 P.M. at the Ludlow Funeral Home, 432 East St. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 4-6:30 P.M.
