Obituary for Robert Stuart
Robert A. Stuart, 63, of D'iberville, MS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Ocean Springs, MS with his loving family by his side. He was born September 12, 1958 in Ludlow, MA to Pauline (Munger) Stuart and the late Donald A. Stuart. He was a 1976 graduate of Ludlow High School and attended Holyoke Community College before joining the family business, Stuart Sportsmen Centre, in Indian Orchard, MA. In 1989 he became a franchisee of Mobil Oil Corporation and opened Bob's Mobil in Westfield, MA. He continued his career in the gasoline industry when he relocated to South Carolina, and eventually to Mississippi, where he worked as a manager for Circle K in Ocean Springs, MS until his retirement in February 2021. He was a New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and NASCAR fan, attending many games and races with family and friends. He enjoyed years of riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting, fishing, and shooting archery. After moving to Mississippi he loved driving Highway 90 with visiting family and friends to introduce them to the beautiful beaches and ocean views of Biloxi and Gulfport. He and Nancy spent many weekends going to estate sales and dining at many of the Gulf Coast Casino restaurants. He was also a great cook, and made Nancy delicious shrimp dinners every Friday night. He loved the large Stuart family gatherings which were filled with love, laughter, and memories that began with “remember the time ...” followed by more laughter. And “seven out of ten” would create still more hilarity. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Nancy (Bregenzer) Stuart, daughter Kristine Lefebvre and her husband Matthew, son Andrew Stuart, mother Pauline Stuart, grandchildren Allison Croteau and her husband Casey, Kaitlyn Lefebvre, Lauren Lefebvre, Cadence Rice and Bear Rice, sisters Sharon Person and her husband Keith, and Susan Stuart, stepsons Michael Sean Rice and his wife Ashley, and Schulyer Rice, niece and godchild Rebecca Hebert, niece Heather Touchette and nephew Gregory Person. He was predeceased by niece and godchild Heidi J. Weit in 1993 and nephew Robert J. Person in 1995. He also leaves his faithful little buddy, his dog Kato. The family would like to thank Dr. Caitlin Lopes of Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA for the care and compassion she provided to Robert and his family during a long and difficult year.
