Obituary for Rosalie (Paslawska) Lukiwsky
Rosalie (Paslawska) Lukiwsky, 92, passed away peacefully at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds, MA on Sunday July 24, 2016. She was born July 5, 1924 in Poland to the late Volexa and Maria (Kryvulak) Paslawski, immigrated to the United States in 1951, and was a long time Chicopee resident. Rosalie loved to grow flowers, especially Dahlias. She was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ludlow where she belonged to the pierogi making group. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Lukiwsky who sadly predeceased her in 1995. She was also predeceased by her brothers John, Joseph, Steven, and Frederick, and by her sisters Anna and Katherine. Rosalie leaves her loving children: Joseph Lukiwsky of West Springfield, Natalie Metras and husband Gary, Mary Jagodowski and husband Michael both of Easthampton; cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Elisa, Jason, Nadia, Amy and Heather and adored great-grandchildren Molly, Aidan, Nicholas, Leila, Ethan, Joshua, Aurora and Piper. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00am at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4:00-6:00pm with a panachyda service beginning at 5:30pm. It was the wish of Rosalie’s family that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Church in her memory.
