Obituary for Rosalina (Da Encarnacao) Pereira
Rosalina (Da Encarnacao) Pereira, 93, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Sapelos, Portugal, she immigrated to the United States settling in Indian Orchard. Rosalina was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and took pride in taking care of her home and family. Rosalina was the beloved wife of 69 years to Joaquim Pereira; a loving mother to Arminda Esteves and husband Antonio, Mario Pereira and wife Maria “Milu”, and Fernando “Fred” Pereira and wife Irene; a devoted grandmother to Antonio and Stephanie Esteves, Brian and Mathew Pereira, and Alissa, Lauren, and Christopher Pereira; a cherished great-grandmother to Noah, Camila, Lena, and a great-granddaughter due in September; a dear sister to the late Antonio Augusto; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting Hours for Rosalina are on Sunday, August 18th from 5:00-8:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Monday, August 19th at 10:00am from the funeral home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalina’s memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org)
