Obituary for Roy H. Parse
Roy H. Parse, 78, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Worcester, son of the late Harold and Mary Parse, he was a graduate of South High School and Worcester School of Business Science. He moved to Ludlow 45 years ago, where he was a member of the Lodge of Elks. Roy was a district manager and franchise owner for H&R Block for over 50 years and in his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, especially with his family. He was also an avid Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins fan, and will be lovingly remembered for his wit and sense of humor. Roy leaves his beloved wife Constance (Williams) Parse; his loving daughters, Donna Parker, of Agawam, and Darlene Sullivan and her husband Kevin, of Belchertown; and their mother Marie Parse, of Ludlow; his step-children Linda Taylor and husband Bruce, of FL, Bob Naginewicz and wife Annette, of Chicopee, and David J. Naginewicz of Thorndike; his adored grandchildren Connor and Logan Sullivan, as well as Kayla and Zachary Taylor, and David T. Naginewicz, Joshua Naginewicz, and Tricia Callahan, and Tyler Naginewicz; six great grandchildren; his siblings, Nancy St. Laurent and husband Ray, of Warren, Ronald Parse and wife Kathy, of Barre, and Kit McShera, of Wales; as well as several nieces and nephews; many loving extended family members, as well as dear friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his niece Sherry Casey and also Beacon Hospice, especially Samantha, Pam, and Cheryl, who provided Roy with compassionate comfort and care. Visiting hours for Roy will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 4:00-7:00 in Ludlow Funeral Home and on Thursday April 12th from 9:00-9:45am concluding with a Celebration of Life Service in the funeral home at 10:00am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy’s memory to Beacon Hospice 815 Worcester St. Indian Orchard, Ma. 01151 or Dakin Humane Society (www.dakinhumane.org)
