Obituary for Rui C. Alves
Rui C. Alves, 45, of Ludlow, was called Safely Home to Heaven. Born in Lisbon Portugal, son of the late Amadeu and Mercedes (Dinis) Alves, he came to Ludlow as a child where he was a 1984 graduate of Ludlow High School, a soccer player and LYSA soccer coach, as well as a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. Rui leaves his loving children Sean and Christopher Alves, of Ludlow and the children’s mother, Rosa Leroux; his aunt Regina Torpes and her husband Celio and uncle Claudio Dinis and his wife Maria, all of Ludlow; his in-laws Patricio and Juvelina Paulo, also of Ludlow; as well as many cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 8:30am from Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Tuesday evening from 4-7 pm. Â
