Obituary for Ruth (Hilberg) Almeida
Ruth (Hilberg) Almeida, 79, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 25, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Born in Denver, Colorado to the late Robert and Ann (Rupp) Hilberg, she has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Ernest “Beeswax” Almeida who predeceased her in 2006. She was a loving mother to her sons Barry Almeida and wife Anna and Mark Almeida and his wife Ann all of Ludlow; cherished grandmother to Barry Jr., Giovanna, Alyssa and Brianna. Ruth also leaves many extended family and caring friends throughout the community. Sadly she was predeceased by her brother Robert Hilberg and sister Yvonne Elcoff.
Funeral services celebrating Ruth’s life will be held on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:00am in St. Elizabeth Church, burial will be held privately by her family. Visiting hours are Monday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
