Obituary for Scott A. Russell
Scott A. Russell, 60, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 in his home. Son of the late Alexander and Ruth Russell, he resided in Springfield most of his life. Scott was a Mechanic & Auto Body Specialist for most of his life and has also driven trucks. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country honorably from 1967-1971 in the Vietnam War. Scott had recently been employed at Peter Pan Bus lines and was also an avid golfer, whether through video games or out on the green. Scott was the husband of Audrey L. Russell; father of Dawn Russell of New Hampshire, James P. Bargalla and wife Jacqueline of West Springfield, Timothy Bargalla of Springfield, Angela Bargalla of Springfield and the late Benjamin Bargalla; and grandfather of 6. Scott is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Wayne Russell and wife Mary, Rodney Russell and wife Yvonne, Michael Lucey and wife Yvonne, David Russell, Debbie Staton and husband Tommy, Lynn Jackson and husband Howard, Gary Russell, Donna Bourguignon and husband Steve and Bruce Russell; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends and Family are asked to gather for funeral services with Military Honors on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 3:00pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. There are no visiting hours.
