Obituary for Silvina (Viana) Cerqueira
Silvina (Viana) Cerqueira, 67, was called home to be with God on Sunday April 18, 2021. Born in Arao Valenca, Portugal to the late Antonio Pinho and Maria Vilas she has lived in Ludlow for many years. Silvina was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and was employed at Triunfo for over 30 years, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and hosting family and friends for gatherings at her house but her greatest joy in life was spent with her loving family. Silvina was the beloved wife of the late Emidio Cerqueira who sadly predeceased her in 2012. She leaves her loving children Helder Cerqueira of Ludlow and Daisy Parker and her husband Terrence of Haverhill. Sisters-in-Law Isabel Moreira and husband Fernando of New Jersey and Maria Alice Cerqueira, also of New Jersey as well as several loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Silvina will also be missed by her adored Beagle, Mila. Funeral services for Silvina will be held on Saturday April 24, 2021 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Walk thru visiting hours, observing social distancing and non contact with her family will be Saturday morning from 9:00-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11:00am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers it was the wish of Silvina’s family that donations be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
