Obituary for Sizaltina “Tina” (Fernandes) Vicencio
Sizaltina “Tina” (Fernandes) Vicencio, 86, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at her sister’s home on November 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Abilio and Engracia (Alves) Fernandes, Tina was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School. She was employed at various local employers as a seamstress and was a member of the ILGWU; and in her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and especially knitting lap blankets for those without family. Tina was the beloved wife of the late Anibal Vicencio; a devoted mother to David Vicencio and wife Rebecca, and Stephen Vicencio and wife Anna; a loving grandmother to Matthew, William, and Natalia Vicencio; and great-grandmother to Orion Vicencio; a loving sister to Irene Kimball and the late Americo, Elizio, Diamontino, and Denis Fernandes, and loving sister in law to Evelyn Fernandes and the late Elizabeth Fernandes; aunt to several nieces and nephews especially Cherie Stack, husband Sean, and their children Meaghan and Caitlin, as well as Yvonne Fernandes, and Dennis Kimball; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Tina are on Saturday, November 9th from 9:00-10:45am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life service at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina’s memory to Ludlow Senior Center Building Fund 37 Chestnut St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
