Obituary for Stella B. (Barszcz) Nardi
Stella B. (Barszcz) Nardi, 90, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Dusza) Barszcz, formerly of Yale St., was called to Heaven on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Ludlow, she was a lifelong resident, a 1935 graduate of Ludlow High School and also attended classes at Baypath and AIC.  Stella worked for over 47 years in the Administrative Depts. of Monsanto before retiring in 1982 and was the secretary and member of its 25 Year Club for 22 years.  During her time at Monsanto, she worked part time as a secretary for the Ludlow Police Dept.  Stella was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and a member of its Parish Council and Ladies Guild.  She was also a communicant of Christ the King Church and a secretary and member of its St. Anne’s Sodality and St. Anne’s Rosary. She was a Notary Public, a member of Ludlow Golden Agers and the Women’s Division of the Polish American Citizen’s Club.  Stella was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Nardi, who predeceased her in 1971; a loving mother of Donald Nardi and his wife Katherine of Hampden; a dear sister to Julie Pikul, of Palmer, Helen Waz, of Ludlow, and the late Stanley, Michael, Frank, Mary, Pauline, Vera, Carol, Jennie and Bertha; and a cherished grandmother of Kristen and Matthew Nardi, of Hampden.  Funeral services are on Saturday morning from Ludlow Funeral Home at 8am with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.  Visiting hours are on Friday evening from 4-7pm and donations may be made in Stella’s memory to Christ the King Church 15 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow, Ma. 01056 or St. Mary of the Assumption Church 12 Cedar St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
