Obituary for Stephen J. Sullivan
Stephen J. Sullivan, 60, of Springfield, died peacefully on September 23, 2014. Born in Springfield, he was a lifelong resident of Sixteen Acres and a 1973 graduate of Springfield Trade School. Stephen worked for many years for Package Machinery and Hasbro (Milton Bradley) before retiring, and had a passion for motorcycles, music, and golf; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Stephen was the beloved son of Mary Lou (Owens) Sullivan and the late Donald H. Sullivan, of Springfield; a loving husband of 35 years to Gail (Sheppard) Sullivan; a devoted father to Sean P. Sullivan (Kate Shea), of Texas; a dear brother to Michael T. Sullivan, James F. Sullivan, and Christine E. Sullivan;  beloved son-in-law of Yvonne Sheppard and her late husband Daniel and brother -in-law of Sue Seaver and her late husband Robert; and also leaves several nieces, nephews, and their families. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has strongly requested that friends and family register as organ donors in memory of Stephen, or may make donations to Boy Scouts of America Western Mass Council (www.wmascouting.org)
 
 

Funeral services for Stephen will be held privately by the family in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
