Obituary for Suzanne M. (Scharff) Ramos
Suzanne M. (Scharff) Ramos, 86, of Springfield, was called to Heaven on March 1, 2008. Born in France, she came to Ludlow in 1947 where she was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and in 1973, she moved to Sixteen Acres. Suzanne, along with her late husband Americo, was owner of the formal Coral Restaurant. She also worked for many years at Ludlow Manufacturing and for 15 years at the former Bradlees Dept. Store before her retirement. Suzanne was the beloved wife of the late Americo Ramos who predeceased her in 1993; the loving mother of the late Suzanne Ramos, who predeceased her in 2004; a dear sister to Anny Bissonnette, of Ohio, and Marie Louise Scharff-Bey, of France,; a dear sister-in-law to Maria Martin, of Chicopee, Judy Varney, of CT and Rose Ramos, of Chicopee; and also leaves several nieces and nephews including Richard Bissonnette, of Ohio, and Linda Jopson, of Chicopee; as well as several grand nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Funeral services will on Wednesday morning at 9:15am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, East St. Ludlow, followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral on Wednesday from 8:00 – 9:15am and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzanne’s memory to American Red Cross PO Box 4002018 Des Moines, IA 50340-2018 . Â
