Obituary for Teresa Machado
Teresa (de Sousa Pereira) Machado, 89, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Saturday May 13, 2023. Born in Pedras Salgadas, Portugal to Antonio and Maria (Da Conceicao) Pereira, she has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Arnaldo in 2003. She leaves her loving children Antonio Machado and wife Maria Helena, Armindo Machado and wife Inez and Maria Nazare Silva and her husband Manuel; adored grandchildren Suzanne Silva, Megan Erbes, Diane Lorace and husband Christopher, Steven Silva, Mary Silva, Trisha Pereira and husband Dale, Scott Machado, Bruno Machado and Daniel Machado; as well as her 5 cherished great-grandchildren; Teresa also leaves her siblings, Arlindo Pereira of Ludlow, Ana Gomes of Ludlow and Filomena Santos, Isabel Pereira and Ana Maria Alves all of Portugal along with many loving nieces and nephews both in the United States and Portugal. Sadly she was predeceased by her brother Jose and Antonio Pereira and sisters Odete Pereira and Maria Machado. Funeral services for Teresa will be held on Friday May 19th 2023 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening May 18th from 5:00-7:00pm
