Obituary for Teresa Miranda
Teresa (Oliveira) Miranda, 82, of Ludlow, was called to Heaven on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Born in Ludlow, the daughter of Joao and Gloria Oliveira, she spent her youth in Portugal before returning to Ludlow. She worked for many years at the former Arrow Elastics Co. before her retirement and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Joaquim Miranda who predeceased her in 1987; the loving mother of Anna Miranda of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Armando and Amanda Amaral; the dear sister of Joaquim Oliveira and his wife Natalie, Diolinda Santos and her husband Simon, all of Ludlow, and the late Mario Oliveira and Erminda Neves; a beloved godmother to Linda Neves Augusto and her husband Victor of Agawam; and also leaves many loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be on Friday morning at 8am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9am followed burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday evening from 5-7pm and donations may be made in Teresa’s memory to Our Lady of Fatima Church Parish Center Fund 438 Winsor St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
