Obituary for Theodore S. Piesz
Theodore S. Piesz, 85, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2008. Born in Ludlow, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Tabol) Piesz, he was a life long resident and faithful communicant of Christ the King Church.  He attended Ludlow High School and graduated in 1941 from Springfield Trade School as a sheet metal mechanic.  Theodore was a United States Navy Veteran serving his country honorably during WWII. Entering into service in 1942, he was a Metal Smith 1st  Class and served aboard the destroyer escort USS Buckley. On Sept. 6, 1943, he married his wife of 64 years Anna (Ostrowski) Piesz in New Orleans. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 63 and worked for over 20 years at Carl Fisher Co before his retirement. Theodore was also a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, the Polish Veterans Club of Indian Orchard and played the accordion with Zieminski Bros and Joe Fortuna in a Polish Band for weddings, showers and parties. Theodore was the beloved husband of Anna Piesz; a loving father to Gerald Piesz and his wife Elodia, of Agawam, Lori Pierce and her husband Steve, of Arizona, and Cynthia Bach, of Florida; and was a dear brother to Walter Piesz and Helen Smola, both of Ludlow and also leaves many cherished family members and friends. Funeral services are on Saturday morning at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4-7pm and in lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Theodore’s memory to Quabog Valley Hospice 42B Wright Street Palmer, Ma. 01069.
