Obituary for Therea M. Michalczyk
Theresa M. Michalczyk, 74, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Mary Katherine (Michalczyk) Repak, she was a graduate of Chicopee High School and went on to receive her nursing degree from Holyoke Community College. Theresa worked for many years at the former Springfield Hospital in the hospice wing before retiring. Theresa was also a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish, sang in the choir at St. Stanislaus Basilica, and was a very selfless person who cared about everyone she knew. Besides her mother, Theresa was predeceased by her Aunt Elizabeth Michalczyk, who was like a second mother to her. Theresa was a loving sister to John Repak, Thaddeus Repak, and Michael V. Michalczyk, Sr.; a cherished aunt to Victoria LeBlanc, Nicole LeBlanc, Michael E. Michalczyk, Derek Michalczyk, Patrick Lupa, Joseph Lupa, Kathleen LeBlanc, Michael V. Michalczyk, Jr., Doreen Lupa, Renee Napoletano; Jacob Rueli, and Adam Michalczyk; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Theresa will be held on Friday, November 9th at 8:30am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 5:00-7:00pm and In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to Baystate Children’s Hospital 759 Chestnut Street Springfield, MA 01199.
