Obituary for Theresa (Beauregard) Almeida-Veilleux
Theresa (Beauregard) Almeida – Veilleux, 69, entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Ludlow, she was born on June 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Eugene and Gertrude (Suzor) Beauregard, and graduated from Cathedral High School. Theresa was a faithful and active communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, belonging to the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality, a church greeter as well as a founding member of the Faith & Light Group. She had worked at Sunshine Art Studios, Belchertown State School, The Association for Community Living and served as an election poll worker for many years. Theresa leaves her husband of 20 years, Gilles Veilleux; 2 sons David Beauregard and his wife Maureen and Bill Almeida, all of Ludlow; 2 daughters, Darlene Almeida of Ludlow and Lisa Almeida of Va.; a stepson Marc Veilleux and his wife Wendy of Enfield Ct.; a stepdaughter Ginette Veilleux, of Springfield; a brother Eugene Beauregard Jr. and his wife Pauline of Ludlow; a sister, LuAnn Staniszewski and her husband Joseph of Palmer, as well as 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Carlos “Honey” Almeida in 1981. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10am. from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church at 11am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday evening from 5-8 pm, and donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to the church’s Parish Center Fund or the charity of ones choice.
