Obituary for Thomas A. Babinski
Thomas A. Babinski, 59, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Born in Westfield, he lived in Ludlow for over 30 years where he was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church and a member of their Men’s Guild. Tom was a social studies supervisor for the Westfield Public School system for over 34 years. Being active in Ludlow town government, he was a former School Committee member, and Democratic Town Committee member, as well as an officer and active member of the Polish American Citizens Club in Ludlow. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and fisherman. Tom was the beloved husband of 37 years to Elizabeth (Lemek) Babinski; a loving father to Aaron and his fiancée Amanda Marshall, of Ludlow , Andrea Dynak and her husband Scott, of Indian Orchard, Stephanie Brewer and her husband Joseph, of Wilbraham, and Jessica Babinski and her friend Mike Dechellis, of Ludlow, the cherished son of William Babinski and the late Helen (Lesniewski); a dear brother to William, Peter and MaryAnn Babinski, all of Westfield, and the late Laura Babinski; a loving son-in-law to his “favorite” mother-in-law Helen Lemek of Ludlow , as well as a cherished Dziadzu to Joshua and Sophia Dynak and Molly and Corinne Brewer. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, June 14, 2008, at 9 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 10AM. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4-8 PM, and donations in Tom’s memory, may be made to Christ the King Parish Fund or Shriner’s Hospital, Carew St., Springfield.
