Obituary for Thomas G. Ackerman
Thomas G. Ackerman, 60, of Ludlow, died peacefully on February 22, 2014 with his loving family by his side.  Born in Springfield, son of the late Robert and Ann (O’Rourke) Ackerman, he lived most of his life in Ludlow where he was a 1971 graduate of Ludlow High School and currently a devoted member of Harvest Bible Chapel.  Thomas worked for many years at Columbia Gas and loved hunting, fishing, painting, and gardening, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.  Thomas was the beloved husband of 36 years to Lorri A. (Pancotti) Ackerman; a loving father to Ryan Ackerman and wife Krista, of Boston, and Lindsay Witherow and husband Nathan, of Ludlow; an adoring grandfather to Luke, Alison, and Kyle Witherow, and Micah Ackerman; a beloved son-in-law of Ruth Pancotti; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.  Family and friends are asked to gather for funeral services on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00am in Faith Community Chapel (formerly St. Mary’s) 485 East St. in Ludlow, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4-7pm at Ludlow Funeral Home
