Obituary for Timothy “Tim” David Casey
Timothy (Tim) David Casey, 28, passed away of a heart attack on May 27, 2019 at home in Ludlow, MA.
He was born on January 7, 1991 in Northampton, MA. Tim was a graduate of Ludlow High School in 2009 and received his BS in Environmental Science from Westfield State University in 2014. He was an athlete who played football, ran track and field, and wrestled in high school. He started his lifelong love for guitar when he was 12 and taught himself piano in his 20s. He was passionate about politics, science, video games, and environmental issues. Tim battled with his own mental health for much of his life and managed to remain inquisitive and compassionate until the end.
Tim is survived by his mother, Regina Theroux; father, Jerome Casey; sisters, Amy Cadieux and Liz Casey; nephews and niece, Jonathan, Maxwell, and Paige Jedziniak; grandparents, Marilyn Theroux and Pauline Casey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, held between 5-10pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Ludlow Fish & Game Club at 200 Sportsmans Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to https://www.gofundme.com/celebration-of-life-for-tim-casey to assist the family with costs. Excess funds will be donated to The Nature Conservancy in Tim’s honor.
