Obituary for Victor Lourenco
Victor O. Lourenco, 84, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Sunday February 19, 2023. Born in Bombarral, Portugal to the late Adelino and Izaura (Da Conceicao) Lourenco, he has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club and devoted fan of S.L. Benfica Soccer Club. Victor worked for several years at Danaher Tool, He also enjoyed playing cards with Kevin, Lyn, Deb and Bill and you would always see him walking 5 and 6 miles daily. Victor was the beloved father to Lyn Bowen and her husband Kevin; cherished step-grandfather to Paige Bowen and devoted uncle to his nephew Fernando Duarte and his niece and goddaughter Gina Duarte. Sadly he was predeceased by his brother Manuel and sister Maria Adelaide Duarte. Funeral services for Victor will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am at Christ the King Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm at the Funeral Home. Victor’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Baystate Wing nurses and doctors as well as his home health aide, Natalie Nieves, for the exceptional care they provided for him. It was the wish of Victor's family that in lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to: St Jude Children's Hospital @ stjude.org.
