Obituary for Victor "Vic" Santos
Victor “Vic” Santos, 80, of Ludlow died peacefully Sunday evening July19, 2009, with his loving family by his side. Born in Holyoke, MA. to the late Antonio and Isaura (Alves) Santos, he lived much of his life in Ludlow, but brought up his family in Bondsville. He served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a passion for golf and gardening. Vic had many friends throughout the community and will be missed by all. He leaves his beloved wife of 22 years Jean Santos of Ludlow; his cherished children, Gordon Santos and spouse Cyndi Mauro, of Rochester, NY and Vicki Banas and her husband Dan Banas of Monson; grandsons Zachary and Nathan Banas and David Meleedy, great-grandchildren David Luke and Jacyline. Vic was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce (Mikna) Santos , brother William Santos, step-daughter Lynn O’Connor and grandson Martin Meleedy. A committal service will be held Friday July 24th, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and donations may be made in Vic’s memory to Mercy Hospice, 1236 Main St. Holyoke, MA.
