Obituary for Virginia (Larouco) Andre
Virginia (Larouco) Andre, 80 , of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Padornelos, Portugal to the late Jose and Ana (Rego) Larouco, she has lived in Ludlow since 1966. Virginia was a faithful Communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and enjoyed knitting, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She leaves her beloved husband of 60 years, Jose Andre of Ludlow; loving children Arminda Andre, Jose “Joe” Andre and his wife Idalina and Maria Fatima Morais and her husband Domingos, all of Ludlow; caring grandchildren Lisa Andre, Cristina Andre, Daniel Morais and Michael Morais; a dear brother Antonio Larouco in Portugal as well as several loving nieces, nephews and friends throughout the community. Virginia was predeceased by her two brothers Jose and Joaquim Alves and her sisters Laurinda Baltazar and Arminda Rego. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21st , 2010 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours for Virginia are Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
