Obituary for Walter F. Dusza
Walter F. Dusza, 88, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ludlow, son of the late Albert and Rozalia (Balut) Dusza, he was a lifelong resident and faithful communicant of Christ the King Church. Walter was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving his country during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Vincennes. He worked for over 30 years at Monsanto before retiring and was also a real estate broker, notary public, sold wall to wall carpeting, and ran Walter F. Dusza Realty Service. In addition, Walter was a charter member and program director for the Ludlow Square Dance Club, original chairman of cub scout pack #1 with the Boys and Girls Club, president for 5 years of the Alden Pond Association, and was a member and former treasurer of the 100 Club and Polish American Citizens Club. He was an avid golfer and former member of the Ludlow Country Club where he shot a hole in one; an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, and also loved to make homemade kielbasa. Walter was the beloved husband of 64 years to Bertha (Soltys) Dusza; a loving father to Walter and wife Pamela, of Ludlow, John and wife Debbie, of Weatherford, TX, Michael and wife Zoraya, of Ludlow, Matthew and friend Lisa, of Ludlow, Maryelllen Stupak and husband Walter, of Ludlow, Bettyjean Bousquet and husband Frank, of Belchertown, and Barbara Niquette and husband Tom, of Ashfield; a cherished grandfather of 16; great grandfather of 6; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Walter will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in Christ the KIng Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral service from 9:00-11:00am.
