William “Bill” Jarosz, 79 passed away on May 22, 2026 at Hampden Post Acute in Wilbraham. He was born on July 29, 1946 to the late William Jarosz and Alice (Nichols) Jarosz. He attended Ludlow schools graduating and enlisting in the Navy in 1964. He did his basic training in Great Lakes before serving with the Navy Support Unit in Danang, Vietnam. He completed his tour of duty in Norfolk VA in 1968.
After the Navy, he worked in heating and air-conditioning for several local companies retiring in 2004. He was then self-employed as a carpenter retiring from that in 2016.
Bill's passion was playing bass guitar. He played in various area bands over the years. He also played hockey in a senior league for Friar Tuck’s Pub and enjoyed golfing with his brother Tom. He was always willing to help his family in any home improvement project they took on. He was quietly kind and generous and will be sorely missed.
Bill's family is extremely grateful for the kind of compassionate care that he received over the past year by all the staff at Hampden Post Acute in Wilbraham.
He leaves his brother Tom and sister-in-law Des of Springfield and three sisters, June Talbot and Susan Fuller of Springfield and Betty Haluch of Wilbraham, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services for Bill will be held on Thursday, June 4th. Visitation at Ludlow Funeral Home will be from 8:45 to 9:45am concluding with a chapel service at 9:45am followed by a procession to Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for an 11:00am service with Military Honors.
