Obituary for William D. St. John
William D. St. John, 51, of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Born in Holyoke, he graduated from Dean Vocational Technical High School. He worked in the heating and air conditioning field for several years before establishing his own company, St. John Heating and Cooling, which has been in business for over 17 years. Bill was the devoted husband of 15 years to Michelle (Aube) St. John; a loving father to William Lucien St. John and Amelia Ann St. John; the beloved son of William and Katherine (Millane) St. John, of Holyoke; dear brothers Christopher St. John, Jason St. John, of Holyoke, and David St. John and wife Patrice, of Southampton; and also leaves his nephews and niece Michael, Matthew, Noah, and Gabrielle; mother-in-law Beverly Aube and late husband Lucien; sister-in-law Suzanne Bleakley and husband Matthew; and many loving extended family members, and dear friends.
While Bill was a native of Holyoke, the Connecticut River was his true home. He loved boating, fishing and camping there. He was the proud captain of his family's house boat, Slow Ride. Spending summers boating with his family and his river friends were among his favorite memories. With his light-hearted nature and infectious laugh, anyone who met Bill soon called him friend. Bill loved driving his Gold Wing motorcycle, taking great care of his customers, sharing his passion for technology, and always had the latest gadgets. Above all, Bill cherished every moment of his life, approaching each day as a blessing.
Visiting hours for Bill will be held on Thursday, July 6th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Gathering on Friday, June 7th where family and friends may gather directly at Hadley Farms Meeting House at 11:00 am.
