Obituary for Yolanda Ann (Mei) Petrolati

Yolanda Ann Petrolati entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2013, Divine Mercy Sunday, at Wingate N.H. in Wilbraham with her devoted family by her side. She was born in Ludlow on February 7th, 1920 to the late Attilio and Ancilla (Quaglini) Mei. Yolanda was a longtime Ludlow resident, a graduate of Ludlow High School, and a devout Catholic belonging to the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church and its ladies guild. She worked for many years at the Ludlow Mills as well as many area restaurants in Ludlow including Rita's Coffee Shop, The Village Restaurant, Joy's Restaurant, and Burger King where she always loved socializing with the Ludlow Community. Yolanda was a member of the Italian Social Club and Ludlow Senior Citizens Club. She was thoughtful, generous, and a joy to be around, and especially enjoyed candlepin bowling, dancing, crocheting, and the many good times spent with her family and friends. Yolanda was the beloved wife of the late Redicento "Jack" Petrolati, who predeceased her in 1972; a loving mother to Adele Vautrain and husband John, with whom she resided, and David Petrolati and wife Karen; a devoted grandmother to Lianne Albright and husband Todd, Alan Vautrain and wife Maureen, and Marc and Frank Petrolati; and adored great-grandmother of Alec, Hannah, and Jetta Albright, Zachary, Jacob, and Jessica Vautrain, and Michael Petrolati, a dear sister to Paul Mei Sr.; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends, including her cousin Rita Mei and longtime friend and neighbor Josephine Swartz. Funeral services for Yolanda will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm.
